Backyard Bouquets, LLP, a flower farm established in June 2020, is dedicated to sharing the beauty of locally grown flowers and foliage to the Van Wert, Ohio area. Our goal is to prioritize pollinator-friendly and organic practices to ensure our growing space is as healthy as it is vibrant.
Please note: Backyard Bouquets is a seasonal flower farm serving you from April through September. You can contact us with a request or keep reading to find out when we might be at a farmers’ market. All orders require a 24-hour advanced notice and can always be picked up. Local delivery (within 15 miles of Van Wert, OH) is available on $45 minimum orders. Delivery fee is $8.
The Seasons of Backyard Bouquets
Spring: The season begins with cool-weather favorites like tulips, daffodils, hellebores, and nigella. Both tulip and peony bouquets are available during this season. With over 265 peony shrubs, our stunning varieties offer a large choice in color including the vibrant Coral Sunset that fades into a soft peach as it matures; the ever popular double pink Sarah Bernhardt; the more highly fragrant varieties such as Gay Paree, Festiva Maxima, and Duchesse de Nemours; and the more unusual yellow peony, Garden Treasure.
Offerings: Tulip bouquets, peony bouquets late May and early June.
Where: Locally, pop-up shops and Celina Farmer’s Market (beginning in May)
Summer: Flowers in the summer include ageratum, cosmos, gomphrena, zinnias, celosia, and lavender as well as mountain mint and basil. Honestly, summer provides too many beautiful varieties to list. Our signature Mason jar arrangements often sell out at the weekly Celina Farmers’ Market where we also offer a build-your-own bouquet bar.
Offerings: Mason jar arrangements, custom summer planter designs, weekly/monthly subscription bouquets, and small-group flower arranging workshops held in late July and August, bouquet bars for your events

Fall: As the weather begins to transtion in mid-September, our focus turns to preparing the tulip beds and putting the garden to sleep. This fun-filled season still brings beauty from the backyard with pumpkins and dried florals. The chill in the air moves us inside.
Offerings: unique pumpkins, dried floral arrangements, autumn porch pots, and seasonal floral pumpkin centerpieces
Where: Celina Farmers’ Market (through mid-September)
Winter: We close the year with fresh-cut evergreens, winterberry, and boxwood. This festive season keeps us busy bringing color and beauty to your home. Be sure to schedule a fun small group workshop that can certainly become a new tradition with your besties.

For those celebrating a special day, we provide flexible À La Carte wedding options, allowing you to select custom bridal bouquets and arrangements tailored to your needs. Note: This is not a traditional full-service bridal experience, but a way to have beautiful flowers within your budget. Call us for details.
